Currently, Allen is the Partnerships Lead at Microsoft for Startups in Canada. Allen is a connector, who strives to make making meaningful connections with people. Teamwork, collaboration and mutual success is the foundation of his process so it’s no wonder his work is focused on creating meaningful partnerships. Allen has a diverse background in partnerships, startups, and media having worked at CTV, BlackBerry, Xtreme Labs, Pivotal Labs, Tribal Scale and presently at Microsoft for Startups. Allen combines his unique collection of experiences with a passion to help Canada become a world leader in technology. Outside of work, Allen is a dedicated reader of all things non-fiction, an avid documentary film fan and has a very healthy obsession with tennis (sometimes). Allen holds a Bachelors Media degree from Ryerson University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and is passionate (actually, he is fired up!) about progressing the Canadian startup ecosystem.
